Mrs. T’s to Raise Flag, Celebrate National Pierogy Day at Shenandoah Borough Hall on Oct. 8

Mrs. T’s Pierogies will mark the 17th annual National Pierogy Day with its annual Community Flag Raising at Shenandoah Borough Hall on Wednesday, October 8, 2025, at 10 a.m. 

To add to the festivities, the company will provide giveaway gifts to the first 25 attendees.

National Pierogy Day honors the deep cultural roots of the beloved dumpling and the local legacy behind one of America’s most recognizable pierogy brands. 

Founded in 1952 by Ted Twardzik Sr., Mrs. T’s began in the Shenandoah kitchen of his mother, Mary Twardzik, before growing into one of the nation’s largest pierogy manufacturers. The company continues to call Shenandoah home, producing millions of pierogies each year and serving as a long-standing point of pride for the region.
