State Police Investigating Copper Theft from Schuylkill County Communication Towers

Pennsylvania State Police at Schuylkill Haven are investigating the theft of copper wire from two communication towers in Tremont Township earlier this month.
According to troopers, on October 10, 2025, police were dispatched to Tower Road after receiving a report of a break-in at a tower site. Investigators said multiple copper coaxial and ground wires, valued at approximately $4,000, were stolen.

One of the affected towers is owned by American Tower Corporation of Boston, Massachusetts. The other, located directly adjacent to it, is operated by the Schuylkill County 911 Center in Pottsville. Both towers had copper wiring cut and removed during the incident.

The case remains under investigation by PSP Schuylkill Haven. Anyone with information is asked to contact the barracks at (570) 754-4600.
