UPDATE: Frackville Man Charged with Murder in Fatal Shooting of Wife

FRACKVILLE – Formal charges have been filed against a Frackville man accused of fatally shooting his wife inside their South Center Street home early Saturday morning.
According to court documents filed through Magisterial District Judge Edward Tarantelli's Office, Andrew J. Peleschak, 56, of Frackville, has been charged with first-degree murder, third-degree murder, aggravated assault, recklessly endangering another person, and simple assault in connection with the death of his wife, Natalie Peleschak, 55.

The Pennsylvania State Police say Frackville Borough officers were dispatched to 222 South Center Street at 12:06 a.m. on October 4, 2025, after a 911 call from a man who stated he had killed his wife and attempted to shoot himself.

Upon arrival, officers encountered Andrew Peleschak outside the home near the garage. He was bleeding heavily from a self-inflicted gunshot wound but was taken into custody without incident.

Police recovered two .45 caliber pistol magazines from his pockets.

Inside the home, officers discovered Natalie Peleschak lying on the floor of the kitchen and living room area with gunshot wounds. Deputy Coroner Andrew Szczyglak pronounced her deceased at 2:17 a.m.

A Colt .45 caliber pistol was found on the kitchen table, covered in blood, along with ammunition.

According to an affidavit of probable cause, Peleschak allegedly admitted to investigators at Geisinger Medical Center that he shot his wife after discovering messages on her phone he believed indicated infidelity. He reportedly told a trooper that he shot her twice, including once in the head, before turning the gun on himself.

Peleschak remains hospitalized at Geisinger Medical Center near Danville for treatment of his injuries. He is expected to be arraigned once released from medical care.
