
The Tri-Valley Lady Dawgs are heading to the PIAA State Championship.
The team secured their spot in the Class A State Final with a four-set victory over Linville Hill on Tuesday night at Cocalico High School. Tri-Valley took the first two sets 25-22 and 26-24, stumbled in the third with a 4-25 loss, but rallied back strong to close out the match 25-20 in the fourth set.
With the win, the Lady Dawgs advance to face Maplewood in the PIAA Class A Championship match, scheduled for Saturday at 10:30 a.m. at Cumberland Valley High School in Mechanicsburg.
Tri-Valley enters the state final following an impressive regular and postseason run. After finishing the regular season 14-0, the team captured the District XI Class A Championship and finished as runner-up in the Schuylkill League Championship.
