Hundreds Still Without Power in Schuylkill County Saturday Morning After High Winds

Hundreds of residents across Schuylkill County remained without electricity as of 8:30 a.m. Saturday, following strong winds that swept through the region late Friday and overnight.

According to updated outage data from PPL Electric Utilities, a total of 1,522 customers were still without power countywide Saturday morning as crews continued restoration efforts.

The largest concentration of outages was reported in West Penn Township, where 762 customers remained without service. Other heavily impacted areas included North Manheim Township (143), Delano Township (86), Washington Township (82), and East Union Township (64).

  • Porter Township – 9
  • East Brunswick Township – 5
  • Pine Grove Township – 5
  • Orwigsburg Borough – 2
  • Barry Township – 1
