North Schuylkill held a slim 12–9 edge after the opening quarter, but Central Columbia answered in the second, rallying to knot the game at 21–21 by halftime. The turning point came in the third quarter, when Central Columbia outscored the Spartans 18–10 to take a 39–31 lead into the final period. The Blue Jays maintained control down the stretch, closing out the eight-point win.
Mya Conti led North Schuylkill with 14 points, while Monica Selgrade added 12. Gianna Capone chipped in eight points, with Ella Digris and Jadelin Stitzer rounding out the scoring.
Central Columbia was paced by Quinlin Blake, who scored a game-high 17 points. Kayla Poust finished with 10 points, followed by Lily Huber with eight. Jada Tucker and Grace Prezioso each scored four, and Abby Welkom added three.
The loss marks the third straight setback for North Schuylkill, which opened the season with seven consecutive wins and now stands at 7–3 overall.
North Schuylkill will look to bounce back on Tuesday night when they host Schuylkill Haven in a key Schuylkill League Division 1 showdown. Both teams enter the matchup undefeated in league play at 5–0, setting the stage for a pivotal mid-season contest.
