Pottsville Man Faces Multiple Felony Charges Alleging Years of Sexual Abuse of a Juvenile

A Pottsville man is facing multiple felony charges alleging years-long sexual abuse of a juvenile victim, according to court records filed in Schuylkill County.

Raymond Hall, 56, of Pottsville, has been charged in connection with alleged sexual offenses involving a victim identified in court documents only as “KS” (DOB: Aug. 22, 1994), who was a minor at the time of the reported incidents.

According to an affidavit of probable cause prepared by Detectives from the Schuylkill County District Attorney’s Office, the victim reported the alleged abuse to Pottsville City Police on Aug. 4, 2025. The victim stated the abuse began when he was approximately 13 years old and continued until he was about 17.

Court documents allege the first incident occurred at a campground in Catawissa, Columbia County. Investigators allege Hall engaged in inappropriate sexual contact with the juvenile at that location and instructed the victim not to report the incident.

The affidavit further alleges the abuse continued on a regular basis at multiple locations in Schuylkill County, including properties in Port Carbon, Palo Alto, and New Philadelphia.

According to investigators, the alleged conduct escalated over time and included multiple instances of serious sexual offenses. The affidavit states the abuse occurred repeatedly over several years while the victim was a minor.

Hall is charged with a total of 10 counts, including multiple felony offenses under Pennsylvania law, such as:

  • Involuntary Deviate Sexual Intercourse with a person less than 16 years of age
  • Involuntary Deviate Sexual Intercourse by forcible compulsion
  • Aggravated Indecent Assault
  • Indecent Assault
  • Corruption of Minors

All offenses are listed in court records with a date of Aug. 24, 2007, which may reflect an approximate timeframe or administrative filing reference related to the complaint.

Court records indicate this case is related to previous allegations involving Hall. He was arrested in July 2025 on sexual abuse charges involving a minor and later faced additional charges after other alleged victims reportedly came forward in late 2025.  Hall remains locked up in Schuylkill County Prison on the charges from the other two incidents.

The investigation is being conducted by the Schuylkill County District Attorney’s Office.

Authorities stress that all charges are allegations.
