According to the latest update from the Borough and Aqua, the first set of water samples has been collected and sent to the Bryn Mawr laboratory for analysis.
A second set of samples will be collected Friday morning and forwarded to the same lab, as required under state regulations. Officials noted that two consecutive compliant test results, taken 24 hours apart, are required before the boil water advisory can be lifted.
If all results meet regulatory standards, the advisory is anticipated to be lifted Saturday morning.
In the meantime, Aqua crews and Borough personnel continue working to locate and repair additional leaks in order to stabilize the system and ensure full restoration of service throughout the community.
Officials emphasized that this remains a fluid situation and additional updates will be provided as new information becomes available.
The Boil Water Advisory remains in effect until further notice.
