Paul Lamar Homrighausen, 96, of Schuylkill Haven, passed away Saturday, April 25th, at Seton Manor, Orwigsburg.

Paul was born in Pottsville on September 26, 1929, a son of the late Paul & Margaret (Mickle) Homrighausen.

He was the widower of Joan (Grickis) Homrighausen.

In addition to his parents and wife, Paul is also preceded in death by his grandson, Bejamin Sippel, & sister, Mary Louise Kole.

Paul was a graduate of Pottsville High School and was of the Catholic faith.

From 1950-1954 he served in the U.S. Navy.

For 20 years, Paul had worked at Charlie Fehr's Service Station, and later retired from the former Shalmet, now known as Hetran B.

He was a member of Friedensburg Fire Company.

Paul is survived by two children: Karen Sippel, wife of Joseph, & Paul D. "Homer" Homrighausen, both of Schuylkill Haven, and two grandsons: Adam, & Joseph Sippel.

Private interment will be held at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville at the family’s convenience.

Ronald W. Strause
, 89, of Schuylkill Haven, passed away Thursday, April 23rd, at Geisinger St. Luke's Hospital, Orwigsburg.

Born in Pottsville, on August 18, 1936, he was a son of the late Roy and Alma (Behm) Strause.

Ron was the husband of Sandra (Herring) Strause, to whom he had been married for 32 years.

He was a graduate of Pottsville Area High School and served in the US Navy.

He retired from Omnova Solutions where he worked as a section leader.

Ron was a member of the Auburn VFW, Rainbow Fire Company and enjoyed golfing.

In addition to his parents, Ron was preceded in death by a son Steven Strause (Cindy), siblings Marie and Harold “Bud” Strause.

Ron is survived by his wife Sandra, sons: William Strause, husband of Michelle, Schuylkill Haven and Scott Strause, Kaska; granddaughters Stephanie and Michala; a sister Joan, and nieces and nephews.

Services will be held privately at the convenience of the family.

Jeannette Lowe
was born on November 19, 1942, in Italy and passed away on April 26, 2026, at her home in New Ringgold, Pennsylvania. She was the loving wife of Paul Lowe and a devoted mother to two children, Christen Campisi and James Biscardi. She was also a proud grandmother to Victoria Campisi, Matthew Campisi, and James Biscardi Jr.

Jeannette is survived by her five siblings: Alessio Peretti, Anthony Peretti, Elizabeth Mocciola, Maria Stolfi, and Daniella Pasquale. She was predeceased by her parents, Nicola and Helen Peretti, and her brother, Romano Peretti.

Jeannette loved Jesus Christ above all else and dedicated her life to sharing His message and love with everyone she met. She was actively involved in every church she attended. Born in Italy during World War II, Jeannette later immigrated to the United States with her family in the 1950s. Over the years, she lived in several places, including Germany, New Jersey, North Carolina, and Pennsylvania. She was an avid artist and had a deep love for writing poetry.

Always in our hearts, Jeannette will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, and sister, who embodied God’s qualities of unconditional love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, gentleness, and goodness.

Earl H. Daubenspeck
, 81, of Auburn, passed away peacefully on Monday, April 27th, at Abington Manor at Morgan Hill, Easton.

Earl was born in Philadelphia, on April 5, 1945, the son of the late Kathryn G. (Brooker) and Earl J. Daubenspeck.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Catherine M. (Hoosier) Daubenspeck whom he was married to for 52 years.

Earl proudly served his country in the United States Navy for four years where he was actively involved as an avionics technician with the Blue Angels.

He was a former Philadelphia Fire Fighter for 27 years and retired in 1997. Upon retirement, he continued to work while sharing his many other talents and skills.

He was a member of Covenant United Methodist Church, Schuylkill Haven and the Cressona American Legion Post #286.

Earl is survived by his children Charles A. Daubenspeck husband of Ellen, Furlong, PA, Cathryn A. Veneziale wife of John, Easton, PA and Tara L. Moyer wife of Andrew, Minersville, PA; six grandsons, Dominic, Jonathan, Ethan, Lucas, Aidan and Keegan; one granddaughter Addison; a sister Joy Krot wife of Alex, Dubois, PA, a nephew, great-niece, Silver Spring, MD; niece and great-nephew, Forest Park, Illinois.

At the family’s request, memorial donations may be forwarded to National Fallen Firefighters Foundation P.O. Drawer 498, Emmitsburg, MD 21727 or the Alzheimer’s Association, PO Box 96011, Washington, DC 20090-6011.

Service details will be announced at a later date.

John Ferdinand “JC” Consugar
, 43, of Seltzer, passed away Thursday April 23, 2026 at his home.

Born in Pottsville July 31, 1982, he was a son of John M. and Diana M. (D’Alessandro) Consugar of Seltzer.

He was a 2000 graduate of Nativity BVM High School and earned a BS from East Stroudsburg University in 2004.

John was a Logistics manager for several companies, most recently Samsung in the Hazleton Area.

He was of the Catholic Faith and a member of Hamburg Rifle and Pistol; NRA. John was an avid outdoorsman who had a deep appreciation of being outside whether it was shooting at the range, or casting a line on a lake or creek.

He enjoyed life to the fullest which included going to concerts with friends of numerous artists including Dave Matthew's Bank and would spend hours listening to music on vinyl.

John loved watching sports, especially his teams the Baltimore Ravens and Boston Red Sox, having a deep love for Fenway Park

Surviving in addition to his parents are 2 Daughters Addyson Consugar; Marley Consugar; 2 Brothers Mark Consugar of Arlington MA; Tyler Consugar and his wife Cristin (Cain) Consugar of Douglasville; Nieces Sophia Consugar; Nephew Ethan Consugar.

Funeral Services will be held at 7:30 Thursday April 30, 2026 from Dutcavich Funeral Home & Cremation Care Inc. 200 Sunbury St. Minersville, PA 17954. Rev. Mark Fesniak will be officiating. Friends may call from 6:00-8:00 PM at the funeral home. In Lieu of flowers contributions can be made to St. Nicholas Ukrainian Catholic School 515 N Front St, Minersville, PA 17954.

Joseph M. Boylan, 86, of Ashland, passed away Monday at the Lehigh Valley Hospital, Schuylkill, East Norwegian Street, Pottsville. 

At the request of Joseph’s family, there will not be a funeral service. 

The Richard W. Fritz Funeral Home, Ashland, is in charge of funeral arrangements.
