Penn State Schuylkill celebrated student achievement during its annual Academic Program Awards Ceremony on April 27, recognizing more than 50 students for outstanding academic performance across a wide range of disciplines.
Held on campus in Schuylkill Haven, the event highlighted the dedication, leadership, and academic excellence of students selected by faculty members within their respective programs.
Interim Chancellor Cory Scherer addressed attendees, praising the honorees for their hard work and perseverance.
“This ceremony celebrates not only the students’ academic achievements, but also the dedication, resilience and passion that brought them here,” Scherer said. “Their commitment to excellence reflects the very best of Penn State Schuylkill, and we are proud to recognize the impact these students are making in their fields and in our community.”
Awards presented during the ceremony included the President Walker Award, President Sparks Award, Evan Pugh Scholar Award, and a variety of Academic Program Awards spanning business, communications, science, nursing, and more.
Faculty selected recipients based on academic performance, leadership, and contributions to their programs, as part of the campus’s continued commitment to supporting student success and recognizing high achievement.
