Frances Cavanaug Dando, 92, former Ashland resident, passed away February 26, 2026. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a graveside Celebration of her Life, Saturday, May 16, 2026, at 1 PM, in the Saint Joseph’s Roman Catholic Cemetery, Fountain Springs. Leroy R. Long, 78, of Minersville, passed away peacefully Friday May 1, 2026.
Born March 22, 1948, he was a son of the late Leroy L. Long Sr. and Viola M. (Moyer) Long.
He went on to serve in the US Army during the Vietnam War.
Leroy worked as a construction worker and truck driver for several area construction companies.
He was a member of St. Mark UCC, Cressona. He enjoyed watching NASCAR and Dale Earnhardt was his favorite Driver.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 2 Sons James V. Long Jr.; Leroy Andrew Long; a brother Larry Long.
Surviving are his wife Deborah Ann (Grustas) Long; Joseph Long and His wife Ann Marie of Ashland; Grandchildren Joseph M. Long, Austin Fairchild, Dustin Fairchild and Sage Fairchild; Brother Leon L. Long Jr. Orwigsburg Brother-in-law Edward Grustas; Sisters Patricia Strausser of Buck Run, Sandra Witman of Orwigsburg, Leafie Bubeck of Schuylkill Haven ; Nieces and Nephews
Graveside services will be held at 10:30 am Thursday May 14, 2026 from Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville.
In lieu of flowers contributions can be made of Hillside SPCA PO Box 233 Pottsville, PA 17901.

Ronald Haslam, 83, of Wadesville-Pottsville, passed away on Sunday, May 10, 2026, at Rosewood Rehabilitation and Nursing Center, Schuylkill Haven. He was born in Pottsville on September 19, 1942, and was the son of the late Lamar Haslam and Anna (McGovern) Haslam. He was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara A. (Shappell) Haslam, who passed away in 2025.
Ron was a member of St. Clair Wade United Methodist Church and a graduate of Pottsville Area High School. He later attended Thaddeus Stevens Trade School and became a member of the United Steel Workers Union. Ron worked as a tool maker at the former Dana Parish in Reading.
In addition to his parents and wife, Ron was preceded in death by his son, Ronald Scott Haslam; his grandson, Scotty Haslam; and his two brothers, Paul Haslam and Robert Haslam.
He is survived by his daughter, Kimberly Long, wife of Rich, of Pottsville; his son, Bradley Haslam, husband of Kimberly, of St. Clair; and his daughter, Amy Rodrian, wife of Richard, of St. Clair. He is also survived by his brother, Allan Haslam, of Winter Park, Florida; 10 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday, May 21, 2026, at 11:00 AM at the James H. Evans Funeral Home, Inc., St. Clair, with Rev. Jack Murray officiating. Relatives and friends are invited to call from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM Thursday morning at the funeral home. Interment will be in Odd Fellows Cemetery, St. Clair.
