Alice Jones, 82, a lifelong resident of Ringtown, passed away peacefully on Friday morning, May 8th, 2026.
Alice was born in Ringtown on May 16th, 1943, a daughter of the late Oliver and Netie (Shoup) Jones. She was a graduate of the former Ringtown High School, pursuing her education to get her certification in cosmetology, and then becoming a self employed hairdresser. She later worked for and retired from the North Schuylkill School District, where she was a cook at the former Ringtown Elementary Center.
In her later years, Alice was well known to keep in touch with all her friends and relatives and could always be found talking on the phone.
Alice was the last member of her immediate family, in addition to being preceded in death by her parents, but also by two brothers, Philip Jones and Joseph Jones.
She is survived by a son, John Jones, and by her grandchildren, Kaitlin Jones and Jacen Bingaman, and his wife Cassidy. A sister in law, Barbara Jones also survives, along with and extended family of relatives and friends.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Service which will be held at 11 AM on Friday, May 15th, 2026 at St. John's Lutheran Church, 106 West Main Street, Ringtown. A time for visitation will be from 10-11 AM at the church. Alice will be laid to rest in St. John's Cemetery following the service.
The Stauffer-Breznik Funeral Home, Inc., is honored to provided Alice's family with services during their time of need.

Ronnie was born in Oneida, PA on March 29th, 1931, a son of the late Arthur and Gertrude (Schell) Peifer. He was a graduate of the former Sheppton High School and then moved to the Harrisburg area in 1951, when he embarked on a 46 year career in the office of the Secretary of Property and Supplies at the Pennsylvania State Capitol in Harrisburg. He and his wife, Jeanine maintained two homes throughout his lifetime, finally moving back to the Zion Grove area after his retirement.
He was a lifelong member of the Mt. Zion Lutheran Church in Zion Grove, where he was instrumental in the congregation, church choir and organist for over 40 years.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 67 years, Jeanine (Michael) Peifer, in February of this year, and by a granddaughter, Sophia.
Ronnie is survived by his son, Greg Peifer along with two granddaughters, Lauren Peifer and Lindsay Brill. Four great grandchildren also survive, Rebecca, Paige, Melanie and Charlotte.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend Ronnie's funeral service at 11 AM on Saturday, May 16th, 2026 at the Mt. Zion Lutheran Church, Zion Grove. Visitation will be from 10-11 AM prior to the service. Ronnie will be laid to rest alongside his wife at the Mt. Zion Cemetery, immediately following the service.
