Anna Harding
, 94, of Orwigsburg, passed away Thursday, June 11th, at her home.

Born in Primrose, on March 24, 1932, to the late Anna (Medock) and Alex Berzowski.

She was the wife of the late Michael Harding, who passed away in 2000. They were married at St. Nicholas Ukrainian Church, Minersville , May 4, 1952

She was a member of St. Ambrose Roman Catholic Church, Schuylkill Haven, where she belonged to the rosary guild and many other groups. She was also a member of the Ladies Sodality at St. Nicholas Ukrainian Church, Minersville.

Anna was a graduate of Cass Township High School, Primrose. She then worked for the former Bamburger's (Macy's), Lehigh Valley and Miller Textiles. After those two occupations Anna helped on the family farm. She was willing to do anything and everything. Moms favorite job was waiting on customers , mom loved to talk to people.

Anna is the last surviving member of the Berzowski family. She is preceded in death by her siblings Walter, Michael, John, Joseph and Mary Hoppe.

She is survived by her children Patricia Ricevuto wife of Charlie, Michael Harding husband of Karen, Christine Buroff wife of Mark, Steven Harding husband of Krista and Joseph Harding husband of Melanie; grandchildren Matthew Ricevuto, Daniel Ricevuto (Megan), David Harding, Jennifer Harding, Joshua Harding, Sara Harding, Jamie Byers (Chris), Samantha Harris (Joel), Michael Buroff, John Harding (Kristen), Mark Harding (Davita), Peter Harding (Jill), Luke Harding , Stephanie Reiner (Mike), Alex Harding (Megan), Alyssa Houk (Julian) and Nicholas Harding (Lindsey); and great-grandchildren:Miles, Aldar, Penelope, Benjamin, Laina, Isaiah, Isaac, RJ, Henry, Theodore, Harper and Parker.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 am on Thursday, June 18th at St. Ambrose Roman Catholic Church in Schuylkill Haven, with Rev. Msgr. Edward S. Zemanik officiating.

A viewing for family and friends will be held on Wednesday, June 17 from 5-7 pm at Ebling Stabingas Funeral Home, Cressona. An additional viewing time will be held prior to Mass from 9:15 until 10:15 at St.Ambrose Church, the site of the funeral.

Ebling Stabingas Funeral Home, Cressona has been entrusted with the arrangements.

Sherry Lynn Wilson
, 59, of Pine Grove, passed away Wednesday, June 10th, at home.

Sherry was born in Pottsville on May 1, 1967, a daughter of the late Edwin and Louise (Boyer) Nagle.

She was a graduate of Blue Mountain High School, class of 1985.

Sherry is survived by her children: Brandon Blankenhorn (Kristina), Alyssa Hummel (Richard), Kelsie Blankenhorn (Ryan), Cassidy Sweat (Aaron) and Arabella Wilson; grandchildren: Ian, Ayden, Parker, Daniel, Havilyn, Nicholas, Elizabeth, Jax, Mason and Piper; sister Megan Bensinger (Todd); best friend Denise Leibensperger, Aunts, Uncles and Cousins.

In addition to her parents, Sherry was preceded in death by her sister Brenda Nagle.

Services will be held privately at the families convenience.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Geschwindt Stabingas Ebling Funeral Home, Inc., Schuylkill Haven.

Randall (Ray) Josesph Travers
, 57, of Mahanoy City, PA, passed away Tuesday, June 9th, at his residence.

Ray was born in Cambridge, MD on March 15, 1969, a son of the late Paulette (Smith) and Randall Travers.

He was the husband of Rae (Jones) Travers.

Ray is survived by two brothers, Darrell Johnson, of Easton MD; Donald Johnson, of Easton MD, many nieces and nephews.

A Graveside Service will be held 11 AM on Thursday, June 18th at German Protestant Cemetery Mahanoy City.

Catherine Price
, 93, of Coaldale, passed away peacefully on Friday, June 12, 2026, at the home of her daughter in Andreas, surrounded by her family. She was the wife of the late William Price, to whom she was married for 56 years at the time of his death in 2013.

Born in Coaldale, Catherine was a daughter of the late Herman and Catherine (O'Gorman) Moyer. She was a 1951 graduate of Coaldale High School and earned her diploma from the Pottsville Hospital School of Nursing in 1954. After working briefly in health care, she chose to dedicate herself to her family, embracing her role as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and homemaker.

A woman of strong Catholic faith, Catherine was a member of St. John XXIII Church, and the former St. Jerome Church and St. Patrick Chapel in Seek. She was an active volunteer in her faith communities, as well as with St. Jerome Regional School. She found great joy in cooking and bringing her family together for gatherings and celebrations. Nothing made her prouder than her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, whose accomplishments and happiness were a constant source of delight. In her leisure time, she enjoyed cheering on her beloved Notre Dame Fighting Irish and the Philadelphia Phillies.

Surviving are a son, Jody Price and his wife, Lisa, of New Ringgold; three daughters, Catherine Barnhart of Coaldale, Sharon Jagielski and her husband, Stan, of Stevens, PA, and Camielle Mayernik and her husband, John, of Andreas; four siblings, Claire Vilcheck of Coaldale, Mary Sullivan of Delaware, Daniel Moyer and his wife Mary Ellen of Pottsville, and Thomas "Tucker" Moyer and his wife Evelyn of Coaldale; six grandchildren, Catherine Adinolfi, Karen Worthington, Bradley Jagielski, Matthew Price, Ryan Price, and Nicholas Mayernik; nine great-grandchildren, Natalie and Lucas Worthington, Bridget and Abigail Adinolfi, Owen and Annie Rae Price, and Jack, Joey, and Mikey Jagielski; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by a son-in-law, William Barnhart; a grandson-in-law, Robert Adinolfi; and two brothers in law, Steve Vilcheck and Jack Sullivan.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1:00PM on Tuesday, June 16, 2026, at St. John XXIII Catholic Church, 307 Pine Street, Tamaqua with The Rev. Robert Finlan officiating. Interment in St. Jerome New Cemetery, Tamaqua will follow. Friends and family may call from 12 PM to 1 PM on Tuesday in St. John XXIII Church social hall.

Martin William Barrett
, 85, of Phoenix Park passed away Friday, June 12th, after a brief stay at Luther Ridge Assisted Living Center.

Martin was born in Harrisburg, Pa. on July 11, 1940, a son of the late Sara Devona (Scheibelhut) and Edgar Roy Barrett.

He was the husband of Sandra L. (Hubler) Barrett.

He was a member of Phoenix Park Union Church.

Martin served in the U.S. Marines as a Cpl. in the Vietnam War.

Martin was formerly employed as a Supervisor at Exxon Chemical Co. Marlin., having retired in 1995.

He was a member of The Gideons International, Executive Board of the Phoenix Park Union Church, as well as a Branch Twp. Constable.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Jaqueline Ibaugh, Laura Harman, Eleanor Benica, as well as his brothers; Edgar Barrett Jr., and George Barrett.

Martin is survived by his wife Sandra, three daughters, Shelley, wife of Rick Brokhoff, Holly Barrett and husband, Joseph Kurdinsky, and Jill, wife of Mark Voydik, a son, Martin, husband of Heather Barrett, a sister, Audrey Weist. He is also survived by his grandchildren Christian husband of Erica Shuman, Adam & David Voydik, Keith Brokhoff, Emma & Somer Barrett. Great grandchildren, Carson and Ava Shuman, Axel, Elijah, Kimber, Cohen and Tallulah Voydik.

At the request of the family all services are private.

Interment with military honors Indiantown Gap National Cemetery.

Marlene P. Bolinsky, 77, of Frackville, passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 13th at Lehigh Valley Hospital–Schuylkill East, Pottsville, surrounded by her loving family.

Born in Ashland, she was a daughter of the late David and Thelma (Kline) James.

In addition to her parents, Marlene was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Frank J. Bolinsky on March 20, 2026; her grandson, Jared Bolinsky; and her siblings, Doris Roberts, David James, Shirley Sewinsky, Arthur James, Melvin James, Burwell James, and Lester James.

Marlene was a woman whose love for her family was evident in everything she did. Known for her feisty personality and quick wit, she brought laughter and joy to those around her and never hesitated to share her honest opinion. Her warm and caring nature made her the heart of her family, and her presence will be deeply missed.

A devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Marlene was the matriarch of the family and early on in her life played an instrumental role in helping operate the family business, Bolinsky Landscaping. While balancing the responsibilities of the business, she lovingly raised her five children (and their friends) and was a constant source of support for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Whether cheering from the sidelines or offering words of encouragement, she was always there for those she loved.

Marlene was also well known for her homemade rice pudding (blub, blub, blub), a favorite among family and friends that became a symbol of the comfort, love, and hospitality she shared so freely. In addition, she dedicated part of her life to serving as a life-sharing provider for individuals with developmental disabilities, opening her heart and home to those in need of care, guidance, and compassion.

Marlene is survived by her five children; her son, Frank Bolinsky and his wife, Allison; and her daughters: Nea Griffin and her husband, John "Lou"; Tonya Kovach and her husband, Jeff; Tara Steinhilber and her husband, Dave; and Vanessa Lindenmuth and her husband, Billy; her brother, Ronald James and his wife Ruth; her eleven grandchildren, Ryan, Derek, Emily, Matthew, Kaitlyn (David), Aaron, Nathan, Kevin, Tyler (Madeline), Rylee, and Brady; her great-grandchildren, Reagan, Luca, and one baby boy on the way. Marlene is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Private services will be held at the convenience of the family at St. Joseph's Catholic Cemetery, Englewood Section, Frackville.

In lieu of flowers, the family prefers donations, in Marlene's memory, be made payable to the Thomas M. Sullivan Scholarship at 501 W. Washington Street, Frackville, PA 17931. This scholarship is set up to help a graduating North Schuylkill Senior who has lost a parent.

Edward “Bingo” “Big Ed” Bykowsky
, 65, of Mt. Olive Boulevard, Shenandoah, passed away unexpectedly on June 10, 2026—no doubt leaving a trail of stories, laughter, and at least one unfinished project behind him.

Born in Shenandoah on July 18, 1960, he was the son of the late Edward and Dolores (Radzavage) Bykowsky. Edward was a lifelong member of the community, known for his generous nature and the big heart with which he lived his life.

He attended Shenandoah Catholic Elementary School, where he achieved perfect attendance through eighth grade—a streak that may have prepared him well for a lifetime of showing up whenever anyone needed a hand. He went on to graduate from Shenandoah Valley High School in 1978.

Edward cherished his family and friendships above all else. A man of many talents, he could move effortlessly from working as a mechanic to preparing unforgettable meals in his kitchen. His famous chili and apple cake were enjoyed by many and showcased his natural culinary gifts. He was a member of the Park Crest Fish and Game Club and the Hairy Canaries.

Known at work as “Big Ed,” he was employed as a sales product specialist with East Penn Re-Builders in Allentown.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Helene Schreppel, and his daughter, Melissa. He also leaves behind his sister, Lori Kane, and her husband, Tom, along with their children, Hannah Kane, Shelbey Kozie, and her husband, Kyle, and Rylee Ryan, and her husband, Mason. He is further survived by his brother, Robert “Bingo” Bykowsky, and his wife, Kim; his sisters-in-law, Anne Gober, wife of Paul, and Mary Kay Seigfried; his nieces, Jenna Rae Matta and Renee Correa; and his great-nephew, Levi Kozie. He will be deeply and lovingly missed, not only by those who knew him well, but by his faithful Yorkshire Terrier, Baley, who would listen for the familiar sound of his truck coming home, a quiet testament to the strong bond they shared.

Family and friends are invited to gather to honor Bingo’s life. A visitation will be held on Monday, June 22, 2026, from 8 to 10 a.m. at Walukiewicz-Oravitz-Fell Funeral Home, 132 South Jardin Street, Shenandoah. A Scripture service will begin at 10 a.m., followed by interment at St. Stanislaus Cemetery in Shenandoah.

Joe Alan Wolff Sr., 66, of Pitman formerly of the Hazleton area passed away Sunday June 14, 2026 at his home.

Born in Alberta, Canada on April 9, 1960 he was the son of the late Helen Mae (Whitt) and Floyd August Wolff.

For over 32 years Joe was the companion of Patricia “Pat” Huntington.

Joe attended school in the Hazleton and Weatherly Areas. He previously worked as a welder for Dana Corp in Reading and later was a truck driver for JB Hunt.

He was of the Christian faith. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, knife collecting and camping.

Preceding him in death were his parents and a sister Mary Wolff.

Joe is survived by; significant other Patricia “Pat” Huntington, Pitman; brother Lewis Wolff (Janet), Hazle Twp; brother Phillipp Wolff (Robin), West Hazleton; sister Louise Drasher, Sunbury; sister Jean Brotzman, Treskow; brother Marcus Wolff, Pottsville; son Joe Wolf Jr (Bobby Joe), CO; son Richard Wolff (Luci), Sacramento; 4 grandchildren Joe III, Ashton, Alicia & Ryan; 1 great grandson; many nieces & nephews.

Services and interment will be private at his request.

Theda Jean Smith-Slavens
was born on August 16, 1946, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, and lived a life defined by love, compassion, and devotion to others. She passed away peacefully in her bed at Tremont Rehabilitation Center, surrounded by the family and friends who loved her dearly.

For her entire career, Theda worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant, dedicating her life to caring for and helping others. Her kindness, patience, and selfless spirit touched countless lives and reflected the way she lived every day.

Above all else, she cherished her family. She was the proud mother of five children: Lisa, Angela, Trina, Deborah, and John. Her legacy continues through her 14 grandchildren and more than 30 great-grandchildren, all of whom brought her immense joy and pride.

Theda embraced life with enthusiasm and a warm heart. She loved music, dancing, shopping, and spending time with those she loved. She was a talented baker, especially known for her delicious pineapple upside-down cake, and she delighted in teaching her grandchildren how to bake, play cards, and create lasting memories together.

A social butterfly by nature, she never met a stranger and enjoyed sharing stories and laughter with everyone she encountered. She was also a devoted fan of The Pioneer Woman and looked forward to her favorite shows and recipes. One of her favorite pastimes was taking trips to ride the Louisiana casino riverboats, where she enjoyed the excitement and adventure.

Though her family mourns her passing, they find comfort in the countless memories she leaves behind and the lessons of love, generosity, and joy that she shared throughout her life. Her spirit will live on in the hearts of her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and all who were fortunate enough to know her.

Theda Jean Smith-Slavens will be deeply missed, lovingly remembered, and forever cherished by all who knew and loved her.

Madelon M. Deiter
, 64, of Lebanon, formerly of Tower City, passed away Saturday, June 13, 2026 at her home, following a brief illness.

Born in Gratz on Sunday, July 23, 1961, she was a daughter of Marilyn Lucas Harner, Tower City, and the late Wilmer Harner.

She was of the Protestant faith.

Madelon's family was her entire world. She loved her grandchildren with all of her heart.

In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by a brother, Matthew Harner and a sister, Elaine McClain.

Surviving in addition to her mother are her husband of 46 years, Alvin Deiter; three children, Danielle Moore (Steven), Jeremiah Deiter (Deidra), and Amanda Pokrop (Brandon); eight grandchildren, Chloe, Olivia, Aspen, Owen, Odessa, Margaret, Orion, and Maisie; siblings, Geary McClain (Beth), Matt Harner, Valerie Atwell (Archie), Judy Adams (Sam), and Mark Harner; numerous nieces and nephews.

Following Madelon's wishes there will be no formal services.

Marlin C. Sherer
, 84, of Schuylkill Haven and Antrim, Tioga County, and formerly of Tamaqua, passed away in his home in Schuylkill Haven. He was the husband of Marie J. Umbrell. They were married on April 10, 2021. 

Prior to retiring, he was the shop foreman at the former PVC Sales and Service, Tamaqua, and the former Hecla Machinery & Equipment Company Inc., Schuylkill Haven, where he was employed for 25 years. Born in East Brunswick Township, he was the son of the late William and Edna Mae (Burkey) Sherer. He was a member of Christ Church, McKeansburg. He enjoyed camping at his mountain home in Antrim, trains, old trucks and working on his Cub Cadet tractors. 

He was also preceded in death by a sister, Marion Fredrick and an infant sister. 

Surviving in addition to his wife, are two sons, Michael and his wife, Kathy, and David and his wife, Joy, both of Pottsville; a daughter, Michelle Sherer, of Whitehall; 6 grandchildren; several nephews; stepchildren, Bonnie, wife of Todd Neifert, Rob Umbrell, Mary, wife of Charles Kahler, and Fannie, wife of Mike Tym, and numerous other stepchildren, step-grandchildren and step-great grandchildren. 

Services will be held at 11a.m. on Friday, June 19, at Christ Church McKeansburg, 6 South Race Street, New Ringgold, PA 17960, with Rev. Jonathan Heim officiating. Calling hour 10-11am at the church. Private interment in church cemetery. 

Arrangements are being handled by the Hartman Funeral Home, 1791 West Penn Pike, Rte. 309, New Ringgold.
