North Schuylkill scored four goals in each half Tuesday, October 27, to defeat Pleasant Valley, 8–1, in the District XI Class 3A girls soccer quarterfinals at North Schuylkill.
Mylee Bindie led the Spartans with a hat trick and an assist, while Addie Urban and Mia McDonald each scored twice and added an assist. Abby Smith also scored for North Schuylkill.
Spartans Build 4–1 Halftime Lead
Smith opened the scoring off an assist from Bindie before Urban added an unassisted goal. Bindie then scored her first goal of the game to extend the Spartans’ advantage.
Pleasant Valley answered with its lone goal of the contest, but Urban scored again before halftime to give North Schuylkill a 4–1 lead.
North Schuylkill Adds Four Second-Half Goals
The Spartans continued their offensive push in the second half. McDonald scored off an assist from Urban, then assisted on Bindie’s second goal.
Penelope Bereskie supplied assists on the final two goals, scored by McDonald and Bindie.
North Schuylkill goalkeeper Addy Balicki finished with three saves. Pleasant Valley’s Haley Ott recorded 17 saves.
North Schuylkill Advances to Face Lehighton
With the victory, North Schuylkill advances to face Lehighton in the District XI Class 3A semifinals on Thursday, October 29, 2026, at Northern Lehigh. Kickoff is scheduled for 5 p.m.
