The Dollar General store in Ringtown now offers fresh fruits and vegetables following a recent remodel that also introduced a new store layout.
The company announced Monday, , that its store at 546 W. Main St. in Ringtown added a produce section while continuing to carry its existing categories, brands and products.
Fresh Produce Added at Ringtown Store
Dollar General’s standard produce selection includes lettuce, tomatoes, onions, apples, bananas, strawberries, potatoes, sweet potatoes, lemons, limes and salad mixes, according to the company.
“At Dollar General, we strive to be a positive business partner and good community neighbor in Ringtown,” said Zak Brining, Dollar General’s senior vice president of real estate and store development.
Brining said the new section is intended to give customers convenient access to affordable fresh produce.
“Although we are not a grocery store, we believe the addition of produce in our Ringtown store highlights our commitment to deliver a pleasant shopping experience that includes affordable prices on quality products in a convenient location,” Brining said.
More Than 7,000 Stores Offer Produce
The Ringtown location joins more than 7,000 Dollar General stores offering fresh fruits and vegetables nationwide, according to the company.
Dollar General said its produce assortment focuses on the 20 items most commonly sold in traditional grocery stores.
