WIND ADVISORY IN EFFECT FROM NOON TODAY TO 11 PM EDT THIS EVENING

What: South winds 20 to 30 mph with gusts up to 50 mph expected.

Where: Columbia, Dauphin, Lancaster, Lebanon, Montour, Northumberland, Schuylkill, and York Counties.

When: From noon today until 11 PM this evening.

Impacts: Gusty winds may blow around unsecured objects. Tree limbs could be blown down and isolated power outages may occur.

Additional Details: Strong winds will increase ahead of an approaching cold front. Scattered to numerous showers and thunderstorms are expected to develop this afternoon and evening and could produce even stronger wind gusts. Severe Thunderstorm Warnings may be issued for wind gusts exceeding 58 mph.

Weather Outlook: A strong storm system could bring damaging winds and thunderstorms Monday before much colder air returns for Tuesday. Conditions gradually improve later in the week with a slight chance of showers returning Friday night.
