Kay Ann Jobrey

Kay, a cherished daughter, sister, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully at Broad Mountain Nursing Home.
Born on September 14, 1964, in Pottsville, Kay was blessed with a vibrant spirit and a heart full of love that touched all who knew her.
Kay was the beloved daughter of Gilbert E. and Marie D. Beury, who have since passed on. She was also preceded in death by her sister, Joanne Horning; brother, Gilbert Beury; nephew, David C. Rickard; and niece, Cassandra L. Palsgrove.
Despite these profound losses, Kay’s enduring spirit and love for her family shone through. She was a devoted mother to her daughter, Mariah Dixon, who brought her immense pride and joy.
She is survived by her siblings, Linda Montone and her husband, Jerry; Susanne Vidal; Jodie Palsgrove; and Richard Beury, all of whom shared in the laughter and love that Kay so generously bestowed.
As a grandmother to Lory Langston, Andre Langston, Brianna Knoll, Jordyn Knoll and Kendall Brennan, and a great-grandmother to Luxxus Langston and Aurora Julian, Kay’s heart was full of warmth and affection. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren were the center of her world, and she cherished every moment spent with them.
Her favorite memories often involved attending Reading Phillies games with her grandson, where her cheers and laughter could be heard echoing through the stadium.
An avid fisher, Kay found serenity and joy by the water. If ever she was unaccounted for, one only needed to look at a local fishing spot to find her casting her line and enjoying the simple pleasures of life.
Kay had an extraordinary ability to light up a room with her radiant smile and infectious laughter. She was the highlight of every event she attended, bringing joy and unity to her loved ones. Her kindness, warmth and humor left an indelible mark on the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing her.
The family extends its heartfelt gratitude to the staff at Broad Mountain Nursing Home in Frackville for their unwavering support and care for Kay during her time there. Their kindness and dedication made a lasting impression, and the family is deeply appreciative of their efforts.
The family also wishes to thank relatives and friends for their outpouring of support and love during this difficult time.
In honor of Kay’s memory, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to a charity of the donor’s choice, in keeping with her generous and loving spirit.
Richard Michalik

Richard Michalik, 75, of Shenandoah, entered eternal life on October 1, 2026, at LVH–Schuylkill, surrounded by his devoted family.
Born on May 21, 1951, in Shenandoah, he was a son of the late Joseph and Catherine Zuber Michalik.
Richard leaves behind a legacy of love and warmth felt deeply by his family, including his cherished wife, Alberta. The couple celebrated 50 years of marriage earlier this year. Their union began on March 27, 1976.
They were blessed with a son, Jason Michalik, who resides in Shenandoah with his wife, Gina. Richard was a proud grandfather to Mia Michalik, who brought him immense joy and pride.
He is also survived by his brothers, Paul, Stanley, Anthony and Albert, along with numerous nieces, nephews, in-laws, cousins and friends who enriched his life.
In addition to his parents, Richard was preceded in death by his siblings, Walter, Joseph, Edward, Diane, Rosie and JoAnn. His family was the cornerstone of his life, and he relished every moment spent in their company.
Richard spent his formative years in Shenandoah, attending St. Casimir’s and Shenandoah Valley schools.
His career spanned 31 years at ATI TI-Wire, where he worked until retiring in 2012.
Beyond his professional life, Richard delighted in the simple pleasures of fishing, solving puzzles and playing cards. He enjoyed listening to music, especially oldies, and was an enthusiastic supporter of the New England Patriots.
His kind nature and willingness to help others defined Richard’s character. He was always there to lend his handyman skills to family and friends and had an extraordinary ability to fill any room with laughter and love.
Richard had an unparalleled zest for life and looked forward to family gatherings. He was eager to savor the food and desserts that would be shared, but most of all, he treasured being surrounded by those he loved.
Richard’s love also extended to his furry companions, Coco and Pebbles, who were his loyal friends and faithful pets. His compassionate heart knew no bounds, and his legacy will continue to inspire those who had the privilege of knowing him.
Richard Michalik’s life was a testament to love, kindness and the joy of togetherness. He will be deeply missed but forever cherished in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.

Thomas Charles Rinaldo Jr.

Thomas Charles Rinaldo Jr., 90, of Minersville, passed away peacefully on September 28, 2026, surrounded by his sons and daughter.
Born in Pottsville on August 1, 1936, he was a son of the late Thomas and Miriam Kuehn Rinaldo.
Thomas grew up in Minersville and attended school in the Minersville School District. He was a 1954 graduate of Minersville High School.
After graduation, Thomas enlisted in the U.S. Navy and attended the United States Naval Training Center in Bainbridge, Maryland. He was later transferred to the reserve at the United States Naval Station in Newport, Rhode Island, where he served active duty aboard the USS Acadia as a metalsmith petty officer third class.
Following his honorable discharge from the Navy, Thomas returned to Minersville and began what would become a long career in the garment industry as a machine mechanic.
For a period of time, he owned a factory in Minersville named TJRM Inc. With the closure of the garment factories in the area, Thomas transitioned to work at Symbol Mattress in Reading, where he retired at age 80.
Thomas was an avid hunter and fisherman from a young age. He enjoyed those outdoor activities with his sons, grandsons and great-grandson. He always expressed his love of nature and longed to be in the mountains or anywhere near or on the water.
He was a lifetime member of the Marion Gun Club.
Thomas loved to cook and enjoyed making meals for his family, including chicken pies, chicken pot pie and Thanksgiving dinner. He would never turn down an invitation to go out for breakfast, especially if creamed chipped beef was on the menu.
One of his favorite places to eat breakfast was the Mountaineer Hose Company, where his son is the cook.
Thomas enjoyed watching local, college and professional sports. He never missed a home Minersville football game at the stadium. In more recent years, he enjoyed watching games from the comfort of his deck with his sons and their friends and would make something for everyone to eat.
Thomas loved attending concerts and listening to music. He and his son attended the outdoor summer concerts at Valley View Park. He would pack his dinner and a lawn chair and enjoy being outside while listening to some of his favorite music.
He also went on numerous local bus trips to see shows and concerts, where he would meet many of his friends.
Thomas cherished traveling and spending time with his family. He enjoyed long weekends at his son’s mountain cabin, sitting by the fireplace, cooking and watching television.
He also enjoyed traveling with his daughter and her family to places including Lake George, the Finger Lakes, Cape Cod and Newport, Rhode Island, where he visited the pier at which the USS Acadia was docked during his service.
Lovingly known as Dad, Pop, Pappy, Shiney, Shiner, Tom, Tommy and Mr. Rinaldo, he was a gentle, kind and loving man who will be greatly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing and loving him.
In addition to his parents, Thomas was preceded in death by his wife, Theresa Lutzkanin Rinaldo, and his sister, Beverly Rinaldo Edmondson.
Thomas is survived by his three sons, Thomas Rinaldo III and his wife, Mary, of Sinking Spring; Jeffery Rinaldo of Minersville; and Richard Rinaldo and his wife, Tracey, of Minersville; a daughter, Michele Compton and her husband, Charles, of West Chester; 10 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; a sister, Rosalie Rinaldo Rumpf; and nieces and nephews.

Burial at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery will take place at a later date at the convenience of the family.
