Born in Pottsville, on September 18, 1948, she was the daughter of the late Caroline (Buehler) and Joseph O'Brien.
She was the widow of Gerald Farley.
She retired from Argo Mills as a machine operator and baby sat for numerous local children. She also attended McCann School of Business where she received an Accounting Degree.
Carol is survived by a brother Richard O'Brien of Pottsville; 4 nieces Terri Moyer, Jodi Moyer both of Pottsville, Karen O'Brien, Texas and Kimberly O'Brien, Maryland; 5 nephews, Kevin Hoak, Richard O'Brien, Jamie O'Brien, all of Pottsville , Randy O'Brien of Virginia and Anthony Lentini of Washington State.
She is preceded in death by sisters Suzanne O'Brien and Nancy Moyer, a niece, Gail Moyer and nephew, Richard.
A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held at 3 PM on Sunday, October 23rd at Ebling-Stabingas Funeral Home in Cressona, with a visitation for family and friends from 2- 3 pm.
The family prefers remembrances in the form of contributions to St. Lukes Hospice House at 2455 Black River Rd. Bethlehem, PA 18015.
Interment will be held privately at the convenience of the family at St. John the Baptist Cemetery, Pottsville.
