Born at the former Locust Mountain Hospital she was the daughter of the late William and Maryann (Bradbury) Bickowski. She was a 1974 graduate of Mahanoy Area High School and also attended cosmetology school. She had been employed by the Nelson T. Davis Agency in Mahanoy City and last worked for Holt Electronics in New Boston. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Mahanoy City.
Preceding her in death in addition to her parents were an infant son Jason Lee Gavenas.
She is survived by her husband of 21 years Robert, two daughters Jeanette McLaughlin of Mahanoy City and her companion Chris Huegel, Nicole McLaughlin of Buck Mountain, grandchildren Rebecca and John Wiekrykas, Courtney Levy and Paige Brode, stepchildren Bobby and Joey Yutko and Amy Puls and their extended family. She is also survived by aunts, uncles and cousins.
Relatives and friends are invited to her funeral on Tuesday morning at 11 AM from David D. Jarrett Funeral Home of Mahanoy City. Pastor Robert Schrepple will officiate Interment will follow in the German Protestant Cemetery in Mahanoy Township.
