OBITUARY: Ray H. McNoldy, 87, of Tower City

Ray H. McNoldy
, 87, of Tower City, passed away peacefully, Sunday afternoon, October 23, 2022 at his home surrounded by his family.

Born in Tower City, June 15, 1935, a son of the late Edward and Hilda Berno McNoldy. Ray was a 1953 graduate of the former Tower City High School.

He was a retired cartographer from the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, Department of Transportation. Ray also served with the Army and Air National Guard for 38 years.

Ray was a faithful member of the Trinity Untied Church of Christ, Tower City, where he was an elder, member, past president of the consistory, and a Sunday school teacher. He was also a member of the former Williamstown Jaycees.

He was an accomplished carpenter, who could often be found woodworking around his home. Ray's life revolved around his family. He was extremely proud of his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 64 years, Iris Bowman McNoldy, December 18, 2016; two brothers, Charles and Larry McNoldy.

Surviving are his two children, Sheryl Hart and her husband Larry, Tower City, and Darren McNoldy and his wife Kim, Muir; three grandchildren, Taylor Strouphauer and her husband Justin, Muir, Devon Tyson and her husband Steven, Tower City, and Colin McNoldy and his wife Marissa, Halifax, four great grandchildren, Caleb and Ethan Strouphauer and Rosalie and Landon Tyson; a sister, Alice Bender, Carlisle; nieces and nephews.

Private services will be held at the convenience of the family.
