OBITUARY: Ruth A. Ochs, 92, of Tower City

Ruth A. Ochs
, 92, of Tower City, passed away suddenly Wednesday afternoon, October 19, 2022 at her home.

Born in Reinerton, June 4, 1930, a daughter of the late William and Ida Young Fetterhoff.

Ruth was a retired seamstress at the local garment factory. She was a former member of the Muir Four Square Gospel Church.

Ruth had a talent for knitting, quilting, and crocheting. She enjoyed socializing and could often be found attending public sales, church hymn sings, or just being out and about around town. She and her late husband also enjoyed camping.

In addition to her parents, Ruth was preceded in death by her husband, Alton K. Ochs; a grandson, Eric Young; four brothers, Harry, John, Billie, and Charles Fetterhoff; one sister, Grace Umbenhauer.

Surviving are Ruth's four daughters, Patricia Young (Robert), Noristown, Lucille Daub (Dale), Romney West Virginia, Donna Erdman (Gregg), Elizabethville, and Zella Leese (Ricky), Tower City; four stepchildren, Kenneth, Janell, Mary, and Robert; twelve grandchildren, Bobby (Rebecca), Michael (Trish), Kime (Michael), Brian (Cindy), Matthew (Anata), Christal (Kevin), Heather, Chad (Laura), Beth Ann (Brian), Jessica (Leonard), Christy (Mick), Ricky (Jen, Becky); twenty four great grandchildren, Paige, Jeana, Micayden, Ivy, Sierra, Celine, Sadie, Dagen, Tayah, Andrew, Brittany, Andrew, Ashlynn, Chloe, Noel, Giana, Carmella, Antonio, Alexa, Jordyn, Nick, Bryce, Hunter, and Makayla; four great great grandchildren, Annya, Cayden, Elijah, and Eleanor.

Following Ruth's wishes, she will be laid to rest privately in the St. Peter's Cemetery, Orwin.
