Sonia Sachuck, 84, of Kelayres, passed away Sunday at her home.
Born in McAdoo, she was the daughter of the late Michael and Mary (Hannock) Sachuck.
Sonia was a member of St. Mary’s Ukrainian Catholic Church, McAdoo, where she was enthusiastically involved with the parish food sales and activities.
Prior to retiring, she was employed at McAdoo Manufacturing.
Preceding her in death, were her brother Paul Vadyca; and sisters Vera Von Grechten, Olga Lombairde, and Irene Vadyca.
Surviving are a cousin/brother Eugene Fignar and wife Pamela Pollak of Connecticut; and her beloved dog Ellie.
Her funeral will be held Thursday at the Damiano Funeral Home, McAdoo, beginning at 11 a.m. The Divine Liturgy with Office of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:30 a.m. in St. Mary’s U.C. Church, McAdoo, by Rev Roman Oliinyk. Interment will follow in the parish cemetery.
A calling hour will be held Thursday from 10 to 11 a.m. in the funeral home.
