Man Pleads Guilty for Shooting Bald Eagle

A Lehighton man has plead guilty for shooting a bald eagle.


Based on court records, Carl Marion, of Lehighton has plead guilty to the shooting of a bald eagle in Andreas near the Schuylkill/Carbon County line.

Marion was also charged with shooting five blue herons which were found near his property during the investigation into the bald eagle shooting.

He was charged with one count of disturbance of wildlife and six counts of the unlawful taking of protected birds.

Marion's fines and court costs were around $4,500.
