Ashland Man Charged for Theft of Vehicle

Shortly after midnight on July 12th, Frackville Borough Police recovered a stolen vehicle in the 100 block of N. Lehigh Ave.

The vehicle had been reported stolen from Frackville on July 11th. 

An investigation into the theft revealed that the vehicle had been taken by a Shawn Jago of Ashland. Jago was taken into custody by Frackville  Police after a separate incident a few hours later. 

Jago was charged with Felony Theft and Receiving Stolen Property.  Jago was charged with Resisting Arrest, Loitering and Prowling at Nighttime, and Disorderly Conduct for the later incident. 

Jago was arraigned before the on-call Magistrate David J. Rossi and committed to Schuylkill County Prison, unable to post bail. 

Officers from Shenandoah, Mahanoy City, West Mahanoy Twp, Butler Twp, and Mahanoy Twp assisted Borough Police on scene.
