Minersville Man in Altercation with Police in Cressona and at Pottsville Hospital

On Tuesday, a Minersville man who was in an altercation with police in Cressona, later threatened hospital workers.

First, according to the Reading Eagle, around 5:15PM Tuesday, State Police were called to Sapa Industries, Cressona for a man who was trespassing on the property.  William Flail, Minersville, was found with a large kitchen knife, and when State Police attempted to subdue Flail, he attempted to stab police, who then used a stun gun on him.

Due to his condition, Flail was then taken to Schuylkill Medical Center South.

According to magistrate information, the Schuylkill Haven Pennsylvania State Police charged Flail with resisting arrest, disorderly conduct, and criminal trespassing

Later that evening, according to the Republican Herald, the Pottsville City Police were called to Schuylkill Medical Center South, just after 9:00PM for a man armed with a knife.  The suspect was again Flail, who became violent, disrobed and was involved in a foot chase with hospital personnel.

Flail reportedly obtained the knife from a food tray while running down a 2nd floor hallway.

Flail was again tasered and officers used physical control to take him into custody.

According to magisterial records, in addition to charges from the previous incident, charged Flail with Aggravated Assault, Terroristic Threats, Recklessly Endangering Another Person, Simple Assault, disorderly conduct, Damaging property, and resisting arrest.
