Meth Lab Discovered During Investigation

A Meth Lab was discovered during an investigation of a prior incident.

On Monday, May 2nd, 2016 around 8:30 am, Schuylkill Haven Borough Police were dispatched for a suspicious male in a back yard.

Police responded and found a Sean Deibert who appeared confused and disoriented. Officer Mcdonald of SHPD determined that Deibert should be medically evaluated and was taken to an area hospital by Schuylkill EMS.

Officer Mcdonald then followed up on this incident by responding to the residence of Sean Deibert and speaking with someone at the residence.

During the course of the follow up investigation, Officer Mcdonald determined there were children living at the residence but not present. Officer Mcdonald was able to determine the children were safely with another family member. Chief Jeffrey Walcott also assisted during the incident and was informed there was a Methamphetamine lab in the basement of the residence.

The Pa State Police Bureau of Forensic Services out of the Bethlehem barracks was then requested to the scene at 96 Mckinley Street in Schuylkill Haven Borough.

The Forensic Services team responded and conducted a search of the property for materials and evidence of manufacturing Methamphetamine.

During the course of their search in the basement of the residence, the Forensic Team discovered various items of evidence to include, bottles of Drano, Lithium battery strips, Zippo lighter fluid and a container of white solid and liquid substance inside, all materials used in the manufacturing of Methamphetamine.

Based on the investigation, an arrest warrant was obtained for Sean Deibert for manufacturing of Methamphetamine and Endangering the Welfare of Children. Ashley Janowski will also face charges for Endangering the Welfare of Children.
