The Pennsylvania State Police at Frackville are investigating an incident after a body was found near Girardville Thursday evening.
Troopers say the body of Steven Baucum, 57, of Girardville was found around 7:30pm floating in the "A Hole", a stripping pit in Butler Township near the east end of Girardville just off of East Main Street.
State Police said they believe the body was there for several days.
The death is still under investigation with an autopsy scheduled.

The West End Fire and Rescue from Mahanoy City assisted with recovery of the body.
