Schuylkill County Burn Ban FAQ

Below are some questions you may have about the burn ban currently in place for Schuylkill County



How long will the burn ban last?  
The burn ban started at 12:00 Noon on Friday April 4, 2014 and will last until Sunday, May 4th, 2014 at 12:00 Noon.




What can and can't you do during a burn ban?  
YOU CAN grill on a gas or charcoal grill for the sole purpose of preparing food.

YOU CAN'T do any outdoor burning of items such as garbage, leaves, grass, twigs, litter, paper, and wood in burn barrels, fire rings, or on open ground.

What happens if I violate the ban?
Residents violating the ban will face fines of $100 for the first offense, $200 for the second and $300 for any additional violations.
