Lane Restrictions Scheduled for Tree Removal Project

Daytime lane restrictions will be in place starting on Monday, March 16 and continuing until Friday, March 20 for tree removal at two locations on Catawissa Creek Road (PA 339) in Schuylkill County.
The work is part of the $899 million Rapid Bridge Replacement Project to rebuild 558 structurally deficient bridges all across the state of Pennsylvania. Crews will be cutting down trees at two of the bridges scheduled to be replaced later this year and in 2016. The two structures are about 100
yards apart so Catawissa Creek Road will be reduced to one lane of travel at Cherry Lane with flaggers directing traffic.

Motorists are advised to use extra care when traveling through the construction areas and be alert for slow moving traffic approaching the work zones. For more information on the Rapid Bridge Replacement Project, go to the project’s website at www.PARapidBridges.com.
