On Saturday afternoon, Shenandoah Borough Police report that an armed robbery took place at the Family Dollar, located at 640 West Centre Street, in the borough.
Police say that just after 1pm, a male entered the store and brandished a firearm and demanded money from the register. The male then fled on foot with approximately $245.00.
The suspect was described as a black male, 5 foot 7" to 5 foot 10", slender build. The male was wearing a black coat, dark colored jeans, grey gloves, tan work-style boots, and a partial mask.
