Yuengling's Ice Cream Gives Back to the Community, One Quart at a Time‏

ORWIGSBURG, PA (March 18, 2015) – 2014 was a busy year for Yuengling’s Ice Cream. In the year since its relaunch, the company hosted and sponsored events, held giveaways and contests for fans, celebrated its one-year anniversary and recently announced its new 2015 flavors.

In addition, Yuengling’s Ice Cream began its quest to give back to the community. To kick off its re-entry into the market, the first cases of each of the 10 original flavors off the production line were donated to local charities and non-profit organizations to auction or raffle off.

“Giving back to the community is extremely important to us,” said David Yuengling, president of Yuengling’s Ice Cream. “We contribute at least 3% of our profits for charitable causes, and – whenever possible – support causes in a variety of ways, including scooping events, ice cream donations, merchandise donations and more.”

In its quest to support the community, Yuengling’s Ice Cream became involved in numerous charitable events throughout 2014. During the events, Yuengling’s donated ice cream along with merchandise and gift baskets, as well as hosted charity auctions and raffles.

Some of the organizations who benefited from the contributions were:

  • The American Cancer Society
  • Alex’s Lemonade Stand
  • American Red Cross
  • Pottsville Free Public Library
  • Hillside SPCA
  • Rockin’ for Our Own Wounded Vet
  • Goodwill Fire Company
  • Pottsville Free Public Library
  • Pottsville Schuylkill Rotary Club

Throughout 2015, Yuengling’s Ice Cream plans to continue donating and giving back to the community through product and merchandise donations, sponsored events, scooping tables, auctions and raffles.
