Two Face Drug Charges After Heroin Found During Traffic Stop

Shenandoah Police have filed drug charges against two after drugs were found during a traffic stop.

According to the Shenandoah Borough Police, charges have been filed recently stemming from a March 30th, 2015 traffic stop that occurred on Route 924 near the landfill entrance.

During the traffic stop, the officer was able to determine that the driver, Robert McManus, had been under the influence of a controlled substance.  A blood test would later determine that he was under the influence of heroin.

McManus was charged with Driving Under the Influence of a Controlled Substance, possession of a controlled substance (heroin), possession of drug paraphernalia, driving with a suspended license, and operating a vehicle without insurance

A passenger in the vehicle, Megan Beury, was also charged for being in possession of a controlled substance (heroin) and for being in possession of multiple items related to drug paraphernalia.
