Yuengling Ice Cream Donating 50% of Their Bloomsburg Fair Proceeds to Make-A-Wish

Orwigsburg, PA (September 25, 2015) − Yuengling’s Ice Cream, an American-owned super-premium ice cream brand, announced that it will donate 50 percent of all proceeds from its sales at the Bloomsburg Fair to Make-A-Wish.
The money will help Make-A-Wish® Greater Pennsylvania and West Virginia grant wishes for children with life-threatening medical conditions, whether it be visiting the Orlando theme parks, enjoying a shopping spree or receiving their very own backyard playset.

The Bloomsburg Fair, held September 26-October 3, expects to attract approximately 425,000 people over the eight-day period. Yuengling’s Ice Cream will be selling scoops for $2, along with t-shirts, sweatshirts, hats and other branded merchandise. Benjamin Dodge, a recent Make-A-Wish recipient and Yuengling’s Ice Cream fan (Mint Chocolate Chip is his favorite), will be at stand at various times throughout the fair, greeting fans and talking about his Make-A-Wish experience.

Benjamin has intractable epilepsy, loves life, his family, Yuengling's Mint Chocolate Chip Ice Cream, and had a wish to become a U.S. Navy SEAL. Thanks to Make-A-Wish, Ben fulfilled his dream in San Diego, CA, and trained with the Navy SEALs!

“Children are the world’s most important asset and the work that Make-A-Wish does is so important in keeping up the spirits of those children who need it the most; we couldn’t pass up the opportunity to find a way to help,” said David Yuengling, president of Yuengling’s Ice cream. “The Bloomsburg Fair welcomes hundreds of thousands of visitors, so what better place to raise funds for such a worthy cause? Plus, having our number-one-fan, Benjamin, at our booth will draw more attention to the mission of Make-A-Wish.”

The 160th Annual Bloomsburg Fair will be open daily at 9 a.m. daily. The Yuengling’s Ice Cream booth can be found on Free Stage Blvd. For tickets and more information, visit www.bloomsburgfair.com.
