Elementary Students Hold Mock Election

On Monday, November 7th, 2016 students and staff at North Schuylkill Elementary School had a chance to vote for the candidate of their choice during a school-wide “mock election.”

A polling center was created on the lower floor, and students in each grade had a chance to cast their ballot. The ballots were created on a computer program, and the results from the voting were announced at the end of the day.

The results were also able to be broken down by grade, and also by gender of the students and staff.

After voting, each student received a sticker that said “I voted……kids vote, too!”

When the votes were tallied, Donald Trump won by approximately 400 votes.
