Huntingdon County State Police Shooting Suspect Found Dead

The Pennsylvania State Police announced early Saturday that a trooper was shot and killed Friday evening, and around 11:00am Saturday Morning, the suspect was found dead.

According to a release, Trooper Landon Weaver was tragically shot and killed while investigating a domestic-related incident at a home on Bakers Hollow Road in Juniata Township, Huntingdon County around 6:30 p.m.

He becomes the 97th member of the Pennsylvania State Police to be killed in the line of duty.

Police began a large search overnight looking for the suspect, Jason Robison, and around 9:30am, Saturday, a few miles from the shooting, Robison was spotted. Police converged on the area but found Robison dead.  No other details have been given on how he died or exact location.

UPDATE (3:00PM): Troopers encountered Robison at an unoccupied mobile home not far from his residence. Robison refused commands to surrender, made threats to harm additional law enforcement personnel, and was shot and killed in the ensuing confrontation.
