Around 5:00am, Wednesday, emergency personnel were called to the southbound lanes of Route 61, approximately a mile south of the Schuylkill Mall, near an area known as Dead Man's Curve.
According to the Pennsylvania State Police at Frackville, a tractor trailer was traveling around the right hand turn, when the driver reported to have lost control due to icy conditions, and overturned the vehicle onto it's driver side in the passing lane.
The driver, who was identified as Omar Jimenez-Diaz, 24, of Hazleton was taken to a local hospital for his injuries.
As of 8:30am, the passing lane was still blocked while the crash was cleaned up.
Fire personnel from Frackville also assisted at the scene.
As of 10:45am, Traffic is still moving slowly and backed up to the Schuylkill Mall
