One Injured in Stabbing at Hotel

One person was injured Wednesday morning in a stabbing at a hotel.

According to the Pennsylvania State Police at Frackville, the Pottsville Police were called to Lehigh Valley/ Schuylkill (South) around 6:30am Wednesday for a victim of a stabbing.

The victim was identified as Justin Taylor, 30, of Baton Rouge, LA. and was treated and released.

After an investigation, it was determined that Taylor was stabbed by Jasper Dillon, 38, of Brandywine, MD at the Econo Lodge in Frackville.

Dillon was arraigned before Magisterial District Judge Christina Hale where bail was set at $100,000 straight bail and was locked up in Schuylkill County Prison.

Dillon was charged with aggravated assault, possession of a weapon, and harassment.

The State Police were assisted by police departments from Frackville, West Mahanoy Township, and Pottsville
