Pennsylvania Basic Boating Course at Sweet Arrow Lake

Sweet Arrow Lake County Park and the Pennsylvania Fish and Boat Commission are sponsoring a Basic Boating Education Course at the Sweet Arrow Lake County Park on February 25, 2017, 8:00 a.m.-4:30 p.m.

A Pennsylvania Boating Safety Education Certificate is required for all Pennsylvania residents born on or after January 1, 1982, to operate any boat greater than 25 horsepower and all operators of personal watercraft (commonly called jet skis). The course is scheduled for eight hours with a ½ hour lunch break (lunch is not provided). The course includes all necessary materials. Successful completion of the examination at the end of the course will result in the issuance of a temporary boating safety education certificate and enable the student to apply for a permanent boating safety education certificate.

Pre-registration is required. For pre-registration please contact Drew Kline at Sweet Arrow Lake County Park at 570-527-2505.
