Jean F. Paulukonis, 84, lifelong resident of Girardville, passed away peacefully Saturday April 22, 2017 at Schuylkill Manor “Genesis,” Pottsville.

Born in Girardville, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Anna Mae Colihan Brown (Simononis). She raised three sons and worked and retired as a LPN at the former Good Samaritan Hospital, Pottsville.

Jean was a graduate of Girardville High School. She was a member of the Girardville United Methodist Church, the Mahanoy City Golden Age Club and the Frackville Area Senior Citizens. She was an avid reader, enjoyed playing bingo and traveling with the GAC, taking trips to the casino and loved cooking for her family.

In addition to her parents, Jean was preceded in death by her husband Eugene Paulukonis Sr. in 2013 and a brother Robert Guy Brown.

She is survived by her three sons: Robert Paulukonis, Eugene Jr. and his wife Janet Paulukonis and Brian Paulukonis, all of Girardville; Five grandchildren: Christine, Robert Jr., Laura Jean, James Douglas and Lydia Marie and her great-granddaughter Ava.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 11 am from the Thomas M. Sullivan Funeral Home, Girardville with Rev. Peggy Reed officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday morning from 9 a.m. until time of service. Interment will be held at Odd Fellows Cemetery, Frackville.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made, in Jean’s name, to the Girardville United Methodist Church at 314 Germanville Road Ashland, PA 17921.

Susan M. Brown, age 74, of Mahanoy City, passed away at Ridgeview Healthcare and Rehab in Shenandoah Heights on April 22, 2017 to meet her loved ones who have passed on and is now at peace. She will be greatly missed. Born in Coaldale she was the daughter of the late Harry and E. Louise (Morgan) Holman. She was a 1960 graduate of Mahanoy Area High School and was a 50 year member of Christ Lutheran Church in Mahanoy City. She was preceded in death by a son William Brown and a daughter Suzanne Wronski and a sister Jean L. Stoyer. She is survived by her husband of more than 50 years Irvin W. "Bill" Brown, 2 sisters Judy Sanchez of Barnesville and Janice Lotwick of Mahanoy City a brother Fred C. Holman of Barnesville, 3 grandchildren Brendon Brown, Macy Brown and John Wronski, nieces, nephews and cousins. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Rite of Christian Burial to be celebrated by the Rev. Fred T. Crawford on Friday morning at 11 AM at Christ Lutheran Church in Mahanoy City. Interment will follow in the German Protestant Cemetery in Mahanoy Township. Friends may call and visit with the family at the church on Friday morning beginning at 10 AM. In lieu of flowers contributions in her name to Christ Lutheran Church Endowment Fund would be appreciated by the family and will be accepted at the visitation. David D. Anna D. Demko, age 84, of Mahanoy City, died Friday morning at the home of her daughter Dottie Demko in Mahanoy City. Born in Mahanoy City she was the daughter of the late William and Catherine (Wirtz) Moore. She was a graduate of Mahanoy City High School and had been employed with City Shirt Factory. She enjoyed cooking holiday dinners for her family, sewing, jigsaw puzzles, her favorite TV show Gunsmoke, John Wayne and going to the symphony with her daughter Donna.. She was a member of St. Richard's Church in Barnesville. Preceding her in death were a sister Theresa Markiewicz, and brothers Joseph, William, Robert, Jerry and Thomas Moore. Survivors include three daughters Cathy Rowe and her husband Bill of Barnesville, Dottie Demko of Mahanoy City, Donna Kline and her husband Mark of Wernersville, a son Jackie and his companion Lisa Ketledge, a brother Paul Moore of Mahanoy City, grandchildren Kim Krietzer and her husband Jonas , Bill Rowe and his wife Julie, Melissa Lichtenwalner and her husband Eric, Kayla Heiser and her husband Greg, Nicholas Gursky and his companion Meghan Rudy, Jessica Kennedy and her husband Ron and John, Adam and Jordan Demko. She is also survived by great grandchildren Jonas, Noah, Morgan, Ben, Viola, Nevaeh and Edgy, nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated by the Rev. Joseph Whalen on Monday morning at 11 AM at St. Richard's Church in Barnesville. Interment will follow in St. Fidelis Cemetery in Mahanoy Township. Friends may call at the church on Monday beginning at 9:30 AM until time of Mass. David D.
