Adults Receive Citations After Fight at Kindergarten Graduation

A fight between two women at a kindergarten graduation on Tuesday led to both receiving citations.

According to North Schuylkill officials, after the Kindergarten graduation ceremony Tuesday afternoon, two adult females had a verbal and physical altercation on school district property.

Both ladies were quickly escorted away from children and citations were filed.

"We are disappointed in the behaviors and will not tolerate this type of conduct. We ask that all visitors please act as role models for the students. We do understand that this was an isolated incident and the vast majority of parents and family members always act accordingly during district events. We are proud of our Kindergarten students and their teachers, it was an excellent ceremony." said Superintendent Robert Ackell in a statement.

Parents who witnessed the incident commended North Schuylkill staff and Butler Township Police in their response and how they handled the situation.

Update:  In a story by WBRE/Eyewitness News, the women involved in the fight are identified as Holly Ann Mignogna and Danielle Jarota.
