Man Facing Assault Charges After Incident Saturday Morning

According to Saint Clair Police, Stephen R Rutt was charged with Aggravated Assault (Felony) Simple Assault, Terroristic Threats, Harassment as well as Disorderly Conduct following an incident which occurred in the borough Saturday morning. Rutt was arraigned by on call District Justice David Rossi and committed to Schuylkill County Prison, unable to post $50,000 cash bail. Rutt had been released on State Parole at the time of his arrest.


One Injured in Butler Township Crash on Friday

A man was injured Friday in a Butler Township Crash.

According to the Pennsylvania State Police at Frackville, around 6:00pm, Friday, a two vehicle crash occurred when Bryon Rusinko, 19, of Ashland was traveling westbound on High Road, Butler Townshil while David Zaleski, 57, of Mount Carmel was pulling out of Kehler's Gun Shop and traveling at a slower speed westbound on High Road.

Rusinko failed to see Zaleski due to the glare of the sun and struck the rear end of Zaleski.

After being struck Zaleski's vehicle spun around counterclockwise and came to rest in the eastbound lane facing an eastern direction.

Rusink was not injured in this crash, but Zaleski sustained a minor arm injury and was transported by Ashland EMS to Geisinger - Shamokin for evaluation.


Woman Taken Into Custody on Warrant

Saint Clair Police have taken Lauren Marie Deysher of Schuylkill Haven into custody on a warrant issued by the Schuylkill County Detectives Office. Deysher was located in Saint Clair Borough Saturday evening, she was then transported to and lodged in the Schuylkill County Prison.
