Man Charged for Dollar General Robbery Earlier This Month

Police have charged a man in connection with a Dollar General robbery early this month.

According to the Pennsylvania State Police at Frackville, on 11/06/17 at around 8:15pm, police responded to the Dollar General, located at 401 S. Hancock St., Kline Township, near McAdoo for a report of an armed robbery.

Police say a male walked up to the counter and handed the employee a note. The note read, "Don't say word, I have a gun. Open the register." After reading the note, he nodded his head to look down. She advised the male she could not open the register without a key or purchase. He replied, "just open the register." He appeared to get frustrated, grabbed his note and left the store.

The investigation revealed Raymond Bolling, 41, of Hazle Township committed the robbery along with several others in the Hazleton area.

An arrest warrant was obtained for the accused through Magisterial District Judge Stephen Bayer in Tamaqua.

He was charged with Robbery, Criminal Attempt to Commit Theft and Terroristic Threats.

Bolling is currently incarcerated in Luzerne County Prison. He will be arraigned at a later date.
