North Schuylkill Honors Local Veterans

On Tuesday morning, North Schuylkill held their annual Veteran's Day program.
The program included 18 local Veterans from the VFW and American Legions who served in the Army, Navy, and Marine's.

Students from 7th through 12th grade were treated to a program that started with the school's band playing the National Anthem.

High School Principal Ken Rosenberry opened the program and introduced the program's speaker Colonel Hancock, from the Harrisburg area.  Colonel Hancock, who has been a leader in the JROTC program, spoke on the history and importance of Veteran's Day.

Each of the 18 Veteran's in attendance also introduced themselves and shared their story.  An image of the each veteran was displayed from their time in the service as well as each spoke.

The program concluded with a playing of Taps and the school's chorus singing "We Honor You" and God Bless America.
