Wintry Precipitation Possible on Tuesday

Our area could see the first wintry precipitation of the season on Tuesday.

According to the National Weather Service, Low pressure passing by just to the south of the commonwealth today will spread a shield of light rain and sleet across the region, mainly this afternoon into this evening. 

Some wet snowflakes will mix in at times in the valleys and larger metro areas, and a light coating of snow or sleet is possible on grassy areas across the ridge tops to the north and west of Interstate 81.

This alert also includes the counties of Franklin-Perry-Dauphin-Schuylkill-Lebanon-Cumberland-Adams.
