Shenandoah to Celebrate a "Coal Cracker Christmas"

Shenandoah will celebrate the holidays with a "Coal Cracker Christmas".

The event, which is sponsored by Downtown Shenandoah Incorported, will take place the evening of Friday, Nov.24th, 2017.

Shenandoah Valley student volunteers will once again perform an Adaptation of Dr. Seuss's "The Grinch", an adaptation written by Shenandoah Valley graduate and former teacher, Dane Rooney, beginning at 5:30pm at the Main Street Veterans Memorial Garden.

Seniors Riley Guers and Hunter Breznik will reprise their roles as The Cat-in-the-Hat and The Grinch.

The play ends with the town Christmas tree lighting ceremony.

Horse-drawn trolley rides will begin at 6:00pm and free refreshments including cookies and hot chocolate will be served in the Damato Post during the event.
