Suspect in Custody After Woman Stabbed to Death in Tamaqua Sunday Evening

A woman was stabbed to death Sunday evening after a domestic with her husband.

Just after 7:30pm, police were called to the the 200 Block of Lafayette Street, Tamaqua for a domestic argument.

When police arrived, they found Diane Bailey, 43, lying on the sidewalk outside her home with stab wounds and covered in blood

Deputy Coroner Andrew Szczyglak pronounce Baily dead just after 8:30pm.

Bailey's husband, Robert Bailey was later found walking in the 300 block of Washington Street with blood on his hands and clothing.

Robert Bailey later admitted he stabbed Diane Bailey after an argument.

Bailey was arraigned before Magisterial District Judge David Plachko early Monday morning.  He was charged with Murder in the 1st Degree, Murder in the 3rd Degree, Aggravated Assault, and other charges.

Baily was locked up in Schuylkill County Prison and denied bail.
