Kathleen Marie Boyer, 56 of Tamaqua, Pennsylvania passed away on Sunday, December 17, 2017, at St. Luke's Miners Memorial in Coaldale, Pennsylvania. 

Survived by; son, Randy Lee Boyer with whom she resided; grandchildren, Devin, Paxton, Bradley and Destiny; brothers, Joseph Tarconish III, Edward Tarconish, Michael Tarconish; sisters, Teresa Hartzell, Ann Marie Govern; nieces, Nicole, Christy, Madelyn, Autumn, Emily; nephews, Jeffrey, Walter III, Michael, Matthew, Derek, and Jacob. 

Born Saturday, August 12, 1961 in Pottsville, Pennsylvania the daughter of the late Joseph J., and Eleanor Sue (Stefanek) Tarconish. Kathleen was also predeceased by a nephew Scott Hartzell

Brenda Herb, 55, of Klingerstown, passed away Tuesday, December 19, 2017 at her home.

Brenda was born in Pottsville, on April 13, 1962, a daughter of the late Carol and Robert Bressler.

Brenda graduated from Pine Grove Area High School, and was employed as a CNA with Hospice of Central PA.

She was a member of Lavelle Church of the Nazarene and St. Paul's E.C. Church, Pitman. Brenda loved spending time with family and helping others. She volunteered in the community and was an advocate for ALS. She was loved by many and will be greatly missed by her friends and extended family.

She was preceded in death by her husband Scott L. Herb.

Brenda is survived by a daughter, Kerri Herb and her companion Jordan Willier; a son,Christopher Herb husband of Sydney Prochazka of Racine, WI; four brothers, George Bressler, Jeff Bressler, Philip, husband of Vicky Bressler, Robert, husband of Marian Bressler; brother-in-law Tracy Herb; companion Charlie Smith of Danville and her beloved cat, Sunshine.

Viewing will be held on Saturday, December 23, 2017 from 10 AM - 12 Noon at the Lavelle Church of the Nazarene, 2879 Fairgrounds Rd, (Rt 901) Lavelle, PA with Rev. Jeremy Smallwood officiating. Private interment will be in St. Paul's Cemetery, Pitman.

George W. Nunemacher, husband, father, pap, and brother, of Clark Street, Tamaqua, Pennsylvania passed away on Tuesday, December 19, 2017, at Geisenger Medical Center after a brief illness at the age of 68. 

Survived by his beloved wife of 43 years, Jean M. (McLaughlin) Nunemacher; daughters, Christine M. Abbott wife of Troy of Cadiz, KY, Tammy J. Kellner and Margaret Houser both of Tamaqua; son, William F. Nunemacher and his wife Christina of Denver; sisters, Dorothy M. Poorman of Livermore, CA, Betty J. Bablo of Tamaqua, Lois M. Reed wife of Ronald of Calera, AL and Marion L. Fritz wife of Ron of Pittsburgh, Joyce A. Nunemacher of Andreas; brothers, Kenny L Nunemacher of Tamaqua, Edward D. Nunemacher and his wife Mary Jane of Lansford; grand children, Raquel, David, George, Destiny, Devin, Benjamin, and Brayden. Numerous nieces, and nephews and extended family also survive George. 

Lutheran by faith, George retired from the Tamaqua Burger King having worked there twenty-four years. He adored his family. 

Born Wednesday, December 14, 1949 in Tamaqua, Pennsylvania the son of the late George F., and Gertrude C. (Lauchnor) Nunemacher. He was also predeceased by sister. Beatrice Borascius; brothers, Charles H., Robert D., Russell N., Raymond A., and Paul E. Nunemacher.

A Funeral service will be held on Friday December 22, 2017 at 11 o'clock AM from the funeral home. Friends may call on the morning of services from 9:00 AM until time of services. 

Interment will be in Sky-View Memorial Park, Tamaqua, PA.

Betty I. Kantner Miller, 77, of Tower City, passed away Tuesday at the Tremont Health and Rehabilitation Center.

Born in Schuylkill Haven, May 28, 1940, a daughter of the late Bright and Norma Gensemer Kantner.

Betty was a retired seamstress from the garment industry.

She was a member of the Christ United Methodist Church, Tower City.

She was pre-deceased by her husband of 51 years, Eldon Miller, Sr., 2010; a son Eldon "Butch" Miller, Jr., 2009; a sister Sharon Mcilevee; brothers, Charles, Robert, and Bright, Jr.

Betty's greatest joy in life was spending time with her family and friends, especially her grandson Keith, whom she loved dearly. She enjoyed going to all of his Viking Football and Baseball games. She also enjoyed taking him to his guitar lessons. She was a wonderful grandmother.

She is survived by her two sons, David Miller (Tammy), Elizabethville and Steve Miller, Tower City; her grandson, Keith Miller, Tower City; Brothers, David Kantner,; Dwayne Berger (Theresa), Charles Werner (Joan), Frederick Kantner (Lorraine); Edward Kantner (Brenda); Sisters, Alice Farr (Wayne); Dorothy Pertitus; Norma Lehman (Luther); Mary Runkle (Robert); Marie Yeich (Douglas); Nieces and nephews, including Justin and Ryan Kantner whom she dearly loved.

Lucille Spotts, 73, of Pottsville, died peacefully at home on Tuesday, December 19, 2017.

Born in Pottsville on June 13, 1944, she was the daughter of the late Wilfred and Margaret (Reilly) Wachter.

She was a 1962 graduate of Nativity BVM High School.

Lucille spent many years working at the Pottsville Hospital maternity ward. She was a dedicated community volunteer, having served for several years as Minority Inspector and Judge of Elections in Yorkville. Lucille was a loving wife, a giving mother, a loyal sister, and a faithful friend.

In addition to her parents Lucille was predeceased by her husband of 46 years, Francis Spotts.

Lucille is survived by: her sons Brian, Pottsville, Paul and his wife Abby, Camp Hill; daughter Karen and her husband Brian Galen, Pottsville. She will be fondly remembered by her five grandchildren Eli, Jonah, Ryan, Britney, and Kaci; siblings Carol Rockford, Marguerite Lesky, Dolores Murphy, Daniel Wachter, Rita Beaudoin, Mariann Freiler; their spouses; and many nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, December 23, 2017 at 11 AM from St. John the Baptist Church, Pottsville, with Fr. Dave Loeper officiating. Family and friends may call at the church from 9:45-10:45 AM on Saturday. Interment will be in St. John the Baptist Cemetery, Pottsville.
