Victoria M. Preti, age 41, of Pottsville, PA passed away Tuesday, December 26th, 2017 at her home.

Born in Pottsville, PA on October 6, 1976, she was the daughter of the late Sandra D. (Davis) Preti and William Preti, who survives her in Massachusetts.

Vicke worked for her Mother’s candy store “Fat Martha’s” in Pottsville and as a store manager for the Family Dollar in Pottsville before becoming disabled.

Vicke is survived by a daughter Kaylee Preti, Pottsville; 2 sisters: Christina Preti and Lisa Preti, both of Pottsville; 3 nieces: Jordan, Jadyn, and Kennedy, all of Pottsville; aunt Diane "Liz" Fabian and her husband Michael, Pottsville; and 2 uncles: Ed Davis, Pottsville and Tom Davis and his wife Sheryl, St. Petersburg, FL.

A Memorial Service will be held 11AM on Saturday, December 30th at the Robert A. Evans Jr. Funeral Home, 208 Pike St., Port Carbon at, with Regnal Leibensperger, SALM officiating.

Relatives and Friends are invited to visit with the family on Saturday morning from 9:30-11AM at the Funeral Home.

Interment will be held private.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to help with Vicke's funeral costs to the Robert A Evans Jr Funeral Home 208 Pike Street Port Carbon, PA 17965.

Thomas J. McGrath, Jr., of Hunter Street, Tamaqua, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, December 27, 2017, at home in the care of his family at the age of 78. 

Survived by his wife of fifty-six years, Kay Marie (Portner) McGrath; daughters, daughters, Marie K. Burrell and her husband Thomas of Slatington, Donna J. Figura and her companion Keith Snyder of Allentown, Joan Lare of Tamaqua; brother, Leo McGrath of Mahanoy City; sister, Linda Wertman wife of Merle of Tamaqua; 7 grand children, six boys and a girl; 4 great grand children. 

A 1958 Tamaqua High School graduate, Tom was a standout football player. He served honorably in the United States Army, and returned home to work for the former Schultz Tire of Hometown, retiring from Hart Metal's of Tamaqua. 

Tom was an avid outdoorsman who loved to fish, camp and hunt. A passonate Notre Dame football fan, he and Kay traveled extensively. A founding member and coach of the Tamaqua Knee Hi Football program, coaching the Eagles for many years. 

Born Wednesday, November 29, 1939 in Coaldale the son of the late Thomas J., Sr., and Helen (Truskey) McGrath. He was predeceased by a sister Barbara Bradley.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday December 30, 2017 at 11 o'clock AM from St. Richard's R.C.C. located at 709 Barnesville Drive Barnesville, Pennsylvania 18214. Friends shall be received in church from 9:30 A.M. until time of services. 

Interment with Military Honors will be in St. Jerome R.C.C. Cemetery, Tamaqua, Pennsylvania..

Flossie E. Roeder, loving mother, 96, of St. Augustine, Fla., passed away Monday at St. Augustine Health and Rehabilitation Center.

Born in Tamaqua, April 12, 1921, a daughter of the late Daniel and Katie Behler Breiner. She lived most of her life in New Ringgold and St. Augustine, Fla., where she lived with her son, James, and daughter-in-law, Kami.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Paul H. Roeder; brothers, Calvin and Albert; a sister, Bess Shafer.

Flossie is survived by her loving children, Gertrude I. Cronin, Floral City, Fla., James A. Roeder, husband of Kami, St. Augustine, Fla., and Ronald C. Roeder, husband of Sandra, New Ringgold; grandchildren, Kelly L. Collins, wife of Michael, Griffin, Ga., Michael Wertman, husband of Kelly, Andover, N.J., Charles Roeder, husband of Jenna, Harrisburg, Cathy Konkus, wife of Richard, Cressona, Donna Oxner, wife of John, New Ringgold, and Laura Yee, wife of Jeff, St. Augustine, Fla.; great-grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Erin and Daniel Wertman, Jaxon, Brynna and Adam Roeder, Kiara, Nathan and Kiara Yee, Ethan and Aiden Konkus, and Jonathan and Alex Oxner.

A Celebration of Life funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at Geschwindt- Stabingas Funeral Home Inc., Schuylkill Haven, with Pastor Eugene Eckroth officiating. A viewing for family and friends will be held from 10 am until the time of the service Friday at the funeral home.

John M. Glore, 86, of Glore Dr., Pine Grove, passed away on Monday, December 25, 2017 at home.

Born on July 21, 1931 in Lorberry, he was a son of the late John and Elsie Boyer Glore.
He was a member of Echo Valley Grace Brethren Church, Tremont.
John was a Coal Miner, Farmer, and a Carpenter.
Surviving are his wife of 64 years, Arlene E. Behney Glore; two daughters, Cindy and husband Tom Fisher of Pine Grove, Melany and husband Chris Keys of Newmanstown; three grandchildren, Angie Alburquerque, Adam Fisher and Codi Benzel; four great-grandchildren, Nick, Willow, Holly and Kane; two sisters, Arlene Klinger of Pine Grove and Joyce Haley of Ravine.
Memorial Services will be held on Saturday, January 13, 2018 at 11:00 A.M. at Echo Valley Grace Brethren Church, 17 Birch St., Tremont, Pa. 17981 with Pastor Rod Finster officiating. There will be a calling time on Saturday, January 13, 2018, from 10:00 A.M. until time of service at the Church. Interment will be in Jacob's Lutheran Cemetery, Pine Grove, PA at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, the family would prefer contributions be made to St. Jude's Childrens Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 in his memory.

Gail D. Dolan, 77, of Minersville, passed away unexpectedly at Lehigh Valley Hospital -- Schuylkill, East on Christmas Eve.

Born in Pottsville, she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Edna Blum Heisler. She was a 1958 graduate of Pottsville High School, and has resided in Minersville since 1961. She spent her career in food service, having worked at the former Zula Grocery Store, at Way-Mart and at Plain & Fancy Donuts.

She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Pottsville.

A loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, she enjoyed spending time with her family.

Preceding her in death was her husband of 48 years, Stephen Dolan, in 2009; her sister and brother-in-law, Norma and John Turner.

Surviving are her daughter, Donna Horn, (spouse, Greg), Minersville; two granddaughters, Jessica Colna (spouse, Edward, Jr.), Minersville, and Amber Horn (fiancé, Joseph Wilson), Rockaway, New Jersey; four great-grandchildren, Camryn, Jason, Ava and Carter; nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 10:30 AM from Dutcavich Funeral Home, 200 Sunbury Street, Minersville. Friends may call from 6:00 AM. Interment will be in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, East Hanover Township. The family prefers contributions to Trinity Lutheran Church.
