Mahanoy City Police Arrest Man Wanted in Hazleton on Theft Charges

Mahanoy City Police arrested a man on Wednesday on theft charges in Hazleton.

According to Mahanoy City Police, around 2:30pm Wednesday , Mahanoy City Police Officer observed Kyle Wronki, 28, of Mahanoy City, in the area of the 1300 block of East Centre Street.

Wronski was known to be wanted for theft and related charges regarding items taken from a residence in the City of Hazleton in late last year.

Police apprehended Wronski, where he was found to be in possession of several items of drug paraphernalia. Misdemeanor charges will be filed for the drug paraphernalia violation by Chief Kenneth Zipovsky.

Wronski was turned over the custody of officers from the Hazleton Police Department, whom had the defendant arraigned and lodged in the Luzerne County Correctional Facility.

"This is a fine example of the hard work of the men and women of the Mahanoy City Police Department. This incident also brings to light the fact that drug and criminal issues are not localized: they are truly a regional issue. The collaboration of the members of the public, and the police department will make a safer community." said Chief Zipovsky.
