Man in Custody for Barnesville Armed Robbery

Police say they have arrested and charged a man for an armed robbery last month.

According to the Pennsylvania State Police at Frackville, Alec Steven Jackson, 22, of Morea was arrested and charged Wednesday for the robbery that took place at the Brown Bag Gas Station, located at 832 Barnesville Drive, in Barnesville, around 6:30pm on 12/27/17.

Police say a Jackson entered the gas station with a knife and demanded the employee to open the cash register.   Jackson then removed the entire register and fled the scene.  The register was said to have contained about $200.

Jackson was arraigned by Magisterial District Judge Christina Hale on charges of Robbery with Threats of Serious Immediate Injury, Terroristic Threats with Intent to Terrorize Another, Theft By Unlawful Taking, Simple Assault, Recklessly Endangering Another Person, Criminal Mischief, and Harassment.

Jackson was locked the Schuylkill County Prison on $50,000 cash bail.
